M+R has been selected as an architect for the renovation, redesign and partial restoration of three monumental canal houses in Amsterdam for Richemont.

Richemont owns several of the world's leading luxury goods companies in jewelry, watches and stationery. The Maisons ™ include some of the most prestigious names in the luxury industry, including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin, Montblanc, Dunhill and Chloé. Richemont also owns leading online distributors YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP and Watchfinder & Co.

To improve the (monumental) office building on the Herengracht M+R interior architecture designed a new innovative working environment in close collaboration with Richemont. Based on Richemont's workplace model, the space requirements for the various fashion houses in the existing office building have been designed. In addition to the renovation and redesign, the design also includes making the installations more sustainable and restoring the facades. Huisman & van Muijen is involved in the project as installation consultant and Strackee as the construction consultant.

After the realization of the award winning Rublev business Lounge and the VIP lounge in 2018, our agency was asked to participate in the competitions for the extension of the C terminal. M+R was selected from a number of agencies to design two business lounges: Malevich and Chagall.
