Description:
For the headquarters of MCB, M+R Interior Architecture designed a special client space, which was completed earlier this year. This distinctive area is designed for welcoming clients and features a central reception area with various seating options and a bar. All interior components are made of steel, stainless steel, or aluminum. The fixed acoustic partition wall between the reception area and the presentation rooms is constructed from Corten steel. For the wall design, M+R drew inspiration from the stunning sculptural works of artist Richard Serra (Guggenheim Museum Bilbao). The walls are strategically positioned to guide the space and are separated from the architectural columns, creating beautiful sightlines. The rooms are accessed through steel pivot doors, mounted in steel frames. Special molds were created for manufacturing the Corten steel panels. The steel is treated with a wash layer to prevent it from "transferring" its color.
The presentation space served as the catalyst for the further revitalization and renewal of the headquarters. With this design, M+R laid the foundation for the building's corporate identity, extending the company’s new brand image. In collaboration with the employees and management of the company, M+R developed and shaped an innovative work environment. The entrance and office wings are being transformed into a sustainable, innovative, activity-related workplace, where metal and aluminum products are uniquely applied in the form of acoustic partitions, walls, and presentations.
