Assignment: restoration and redesign of the old town hall of Schoonhoven
The town hall (anno 1542) was reconstructed in 1927 to its original state, with much later added parts removed. In the report of the restoration by Dr. EH ter Kuile, it is noted that "the entire building was evacuated," changed ", and cleaned and broken to the old core." About the well-carved chimney in the council chamber is written "al these remains have been repaired, cleaned and repainted. " After the restoration of 1927, the interior was changed a number of times, including new wall, floor coverings and paint work. Due to these adjustments, the spaces are no longer original and the original is also not visible. M+R has been asked to conduct a historical and color historical investigation so that the spaces can be restored on the basis of these investigations.
The Monumental parts such as the chimney in the council chamber and committee room will be restored, the paneling will be restored to the state of the restoration in 1927. The design and upholstery of the monumental space will be given a new era: anno 2020 so that the spaces can be used optimally again are for meetings; presentations and weddings and receptions. The scars in the ceiling and walls are being repaired. M+R has designed special upholstered panels with the Schoonhoven Zilverstad theme; innovative LED lighting and a neutral color palette that does justice to the monumental quality. The furniture is flexible and matches the restored space in terms of appearance, the upholstery is in special silver leather. All the new elements are reversible and are separate from the monument so that there is a clear picture of the year 1927 and the year 2020.
M+R has secured a solid place on the Sheremetyevo Airport shortlist for international design agencies. After the realization of the award winning Rublev business Lounge and the VIP lounge in 2018, our agency was asked to participate in the competitions for the extension of the C terminal. M+R was selected from a number of agencies to design two business lounges: Malevich and Chagall.
The new office building for the CANON Production Printing Netherlands headquarters "Green Landmark", designed by BroekBakema architects, is based on the Kyosei philosophy of Canon: living and working together for the common good. Green, public spaces, the so-called "Green Plazas", connect employees and visitors.
The Kennedy Tower in Eindhoven is one of the HERE headquarters worldwide. M+R has designed a complete office concept for the new organization, including the look & feel and corporate design of the offices, such as the color palette; wayfinding; photo use etc.
M+R interior architecture won the assignment for the lounge design after an international competition. The lounge is about 1.900 square meters and has a capacity of 385 seats and is located in the new extension of the terminal C on Sheremetyevo International Airport Moscow.
M+R has been selected as an architect for the renovation, redesign and partial restoration of three monumental canal houses in Amsterdam for Richemont.
M+R has developed a completely new office concept in close collaboration with stakeholders and users of BDO. The building concept took shape in the various inspiration and co-creation sessions initiated by M+R on behalf of BDO.
M+R interior architecture was commissioned after a competition. For the existing office building on the Prof. dr. E.M. Meijerslaan 2 in Amstelveen, our office has developed and designed an innovative working environment in collaboration with Drees & Sommer and Hiensch installation consultants.

The characteristic aesthetic of Russian dome structures lend the lounge area an unmistakable identity. The design also features a great colour concept, which promises a high quality of stay thanks to atmospheric lighting and modern, comfortable furniture.
The design of the lounge is inspired upon Russian constructivism, the Tatlin Tower, and Russian culture. The union shaped towers are used as eye-catchers in the lounge, this to create different spaces in the lounge area as a certain kind of zoning.

After the realization of the meeting space in the MCB headquarters, the plans for the ground floor have been developed. M+R has developed a tailor-made interior for the entrance and the working environment in close cooperation with the employees of MCB.
