For the new workplace in the southern part of the Netherlands, BDO Accountants & Advisors has leased a beautiful space on the third floor of the office building 'De Colonel'. This location, along with the offices in Eindhoven (headquarters), Tilburg, 's-Hertogenbosch, and Breda|Roosendaal, forms the South Netherlands region.
For this floor, M+R developed a club-like office concept in close collaboration with BDO employees. The office building 'De Colonel' is located next to the central station in Maastricht, making it easily accessible by public transport and within walking distance from the city center.
For this location, we created a landscape with both closed and open spaces, offering a variety of workspaces depending on whether focused work or teamwork is required. The entrance area features reception seating, landing spots, open meeting areas, and meeting rooms, leading to a dining-work café with a kitchen, bar, and seating areas for relaxation. M+R developed a special look and feel for this location, with the Limburg region and the Maas River as the chosen theme. For this theme, M+R designed carpets, photo walls, and wayfinding elements. Because M+R designed not only the interior architecture, furnishings, colors, and materials but also the wayfinding and thematic decor, it forms a complete concept – a unique identity for the building, tailored specifically for BDO.
