Project:

Design 'healthy work environment’ for focus, connection and mental resilience

The renovated Forvis Mazars office at Wijchenseweg 102 in Nijmegen has now been completed and is fully operational. What began as a redevelopment project evolved into a complete sustainable transformation: an innovative, circular, and people-centered work environment designed by M+R interior architecture.

Description:

Forvis Mazars leases the ground floor and first floor of the building. A new staircase and atrium connect these floors, creating an open and inviting space that encourages interaction and makes collaboration a natural part of the workday.
The ground floor forms the social heart of the office, featuring a warm reception area, contemporary meeting rooms, a dining-work café, and flexible hot-desking workstations. The first floor is designed as a dynamic workspace with diverse work styles: from quiet zones and phone booths to team rooms and concentration zones. Each space supports a different way of working.

Central to the design is the healthy environment. Through the use of natural light, greenery, natural materials, and soft color tones, an environment is created that promotes focus and strengthens mental resilience. A workplace that brings calm, provides energy, and contributes to pleasant and effective work.

With this hybrid work concept, Forvis Mazars responds to the changing demands of the modern workplace. Flexibility, well-being, and productivity come together here in a future-proof office that invites employees to meet in person and grow together.

The result: an inspiring, circular work environment where design, functionality, and people take center stage—ready for today and tomorrow.
