We are proud to announce that M+R interior architecture, in collaboration with Huisman & van Muijen, Mobius Consult, and Vianen Bouwadvies, has been awarded the contract for the design of the ground-floor space of the iconic Toren van Oud in The Hague. Commissioned by the Ministry of Justice and Security and the Central Government Real Estate Agency, the project involves transforming this space into a modern medical center and a gym & fitness facility for employees.

The aim of this renovation is to safely and sustainably accommodate the new functions. The design fully aligns with the needs of its users, the sustainability goals of the Central Government Real Estate Agency, and provides a safe and functional environment where care and well-being take center stage. Additionally, the plan takes into account the unique urban setting of the Toren van Oud.

“We are honored by the trust placed in us by the Ministry of Justice and Security and the Central Government Real Estate Agency,” says Hans Maréchal, architect at M+R interior architecture. “This project allows us to showcase our expertise in renovation and technical infrastructure while contributing to a vital facility in the heart of The Hague.”
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026. Throughout the process, we remain committed to sustainable solutions that enhance the well-being of both users and the surrounding community.
